Ing. Matěj Srna:

My name is Matěj Srna and I started my professional journey as an audit associate for APOGEO Audit during my studies at the University of Economics. After graduation, I started working for KPMG which further strengthen my knowledge and skill set. The work of audit associates relates not only to accounting but also to some portion of data. 

In order to strengthen my skill set, I left KPMG and move to the private sector. I worked as Finance and Business analyst for a manufacturing company called Trouw Nutrition Biofaktory, ltd. I quickly realized that most of my work relates to the processing of data and creating reports for management. 

I wanted to learn more effective and efficient ways how to gather, clean, and process large amounts of data. 

In order to achieve my goal, I started a Software Development Academy course on Data Science. Even before the beginning of this course, I found an interest in Python (mainly because of 100 Days of Code: The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp for 2022). So I became a Business Intelligence analyst.
